Introduction
Embossing is a stamping process for producing raised or sunken designs in sheet, metal, leather, etc. This process can be made by means of matched two dies like male and female, or by passing sheet or a strip of metal between these types of dies of the desired pattern. By this process, it will go stamping to create a shiny or 3D effect.
Process
A metal sheet or leather sheet is drawn through the male and female dies, producing a pattern of design on the given material. Depending on the dies used, different patterns can be produced on the metal sheet, leather sheet, etc. The combination of pressure and heat actually “irons” while raising the level of the image higher than the substrate to make it smooth. The term “impressing” refers to an image lowered into the surface of a material and image raised out of the surface of a material.
In most of the pressure embossing operation machines, the upper blocks are stationary, while the bottom blocks are movable. The pressure which the bottom block raised is referred to as the tonnage capacity.

Types:
Hydraulic Press Embossing Device
This is an automatic type of embossing machine working under hydraulic principle. That makes use of leather embossing technique. Temperature can be automatically adjusted and controlled in this machine for the dies. It has an oil cooling system for cooling the dies. This type of hydraulic hot-stamp device is ideal for hard metals like a license plate, nameplate, etc. This is mainly for the manufacturers for producing in bulky level.
Sheet Metal Embossing Machine
This is a manual type system which can be implemented for printing on metal as well as non-metal surfaces. It is manual in operations, which explains this type of device comes at a lower cost. It is one of the types of manual type operation. Which is contact the leather or plastic with the high-frequency load under some time and it makes heating dies for embossing logos, names, tags etc. We can adjust the time for heating the dies for making the logos, trademarks, prices which based on the size of dies.
